  Job Title: Bakery Associate/Sanitation Specialist

  Job Description

  As a Bakery Associate, you will be responsible for supporting various production activities, ensuring the highest quality of bakery products. Your role will involve handling ingredients, operating machinery, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within a fast-paced environment.

  Responsibilities

  • Complete pre-operational production checklist and obtain approval before starting work.
  • Inspect and properly receive ingredients, rejecting any with damaged packaging.
  • Clean ingredient containers thoroughly before opening, using designated brushes.
  • Pre-scale ingredients using digital scales and record lot numbers for each dough type.
  • Monitor and maintain dough mixing and lamination processes, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Assist in the production and packaging of Donuts, Danish, and Muffins.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, GMP, and quality policies at all times.
  • Participate in training and cross-training sessions.
  • Provide rest break rotations and lunches to employees when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment during and after production runs.
  • Monitor finished product quality and communicate with team members to resolve challenges.

  Essential Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift and push/pull 50lbs continuously
  • Capacity to stand for 8-12 hours a day
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Basic English language comprehension
  • Non-slip safety shoes required
  • Familiarity with GMP and food safety standards

  Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in food production or manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of machine operating and food handling
  • Understanding of bakery processes and equipment

  Work Environment

  You will work in a manufacturing environment that adheres to GMP standards. The facility can be hot and loud, but it offers a pleasant aroma of baked goods. Employees must follow strict dress codes, including wearing company-provided smocks, hairnets, and non-slip safety footwear. The facility is peanut-free, and certain personal items are restricted to ensure safety and hygiene.

  Job Type & Location

  This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, California.

  Pay and Benefits

  The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
