- Greet and engage customers with a friendly demeanor, assisting them in making menu choices.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, taking orders accurately, and offering product recommendations.
- Ensure a welcoming and clean environment for customers to enjoy their bakery and coffee bar experience.
- Prepare and present a diverse range of baked goods, including pastries, bread, cakes, and cookies.
- Craft a variety of coffee and tea beverages, adhering to brewing techniques and maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
- Assemble and serve light snacks according to established guidelines.
- Monitor the freshness and quality of baked goods, rotating stock as needed and informing management of any product shortages or quality issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in food preparation and service areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Accurately handle cash transactions, process payments, and provide customers with receipts as necessary.
- Ensure cash register accuracy at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Assist in managing inventory levels by restocking baked goods, coffee beans, tea, and other supplies as needed.
- Notify management when inventory is running low to avoid shortages.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils regularly to maintain a hygienic workspace.
- Assist with cleaning duties throughout the bakery and coffee bar, ensuring a tidy and organized environment.
- Prior experience in a bakery, coffee shop, or food service environment is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Basic knowledge of coffee brewing methods, and food preparation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Continuous hand manipulation including, grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation
- Occasionally reaching above and at shoulder level
- Walking, standing and bending up to 5 hours per day
- Twisting and climbing up to 3 hours per day
- Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (Up to 50 lbs. occasionally)
- Working near hazardous machinery (Oven, mixers)
- Exposure to noise (Mixers, pan washer, oven)
- Exposure to extremes in temperature (Oven and walk in freezer)
- Working at heights (step stool)
