What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct research to build comprehensive candidate profiles on Ballotpedia
- Assist in reaching out to candidates to encourage completion of profiles and surveys
- Contribute to the coverage of elections and ensure access to detailed candidate information
- Maintain organized spreadsheets and to-do lists for efficient project management
- Collaborate with staff to identify areas for improvement and suggest process enhancements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Passion for politics and commitment to Ballotpedia's mission
- Strong self-starter who thrives in a self-directed environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work with data
- Enthusiasm for research and information discovery
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in politics, journalism, or related fields
- Familiarity with data science concepts
- Ability to work with spreadsheets and organize information effectively
