      The Banana Stand - Amazon opened its first Community Banana Stand in Seattle in 2015 to offer free, healthy snacks to employees and the public. Since then, it's become a quirky, feel-good staple of Amazon campuses. Bananas are compostable, portable, and beloved u2014 and Northwest Center brings this initiative to life by staffing each stand with energetic, friendly Banistas.

      The Role
      - u00A0Weu2019re looking for a Banana Operations u00A0Supervisor to lead our Banana Stand program across the Puget Sound region. Youu2019ll be the go-to person for operations, staffing, and team development u2014 ensuring that every stand runs smoothly and every customer interaction is memorable.


      As a hands-on leader, youu2019ll coach a diverse team, manage logistics, solve problems in real time, and help scale a high-visibility program. If you love motivating people, taking ownership, and creating great experiences, we want to meet you!

      Seattle & Bellevue, WA

      Hours: Mondayu2013Friday, between 7:30 AM u2013 6:00 PM, and 1st & 3rd Saturdays (8:00 AM u2013 4:00 PM)
      Starting Hourly Rate: $31.08 per hour | Full Hourly Range: $31.08 - $39.88 per hour

      What You Will Do:
      Operational Excellence

      • Oversee daily operations at multiple stand locations across the region.
      • Ensure proper staffing, timely setups, and consistent service quality.
      • Manage banana ordering, inventory, and visual standards.
      • Track performance metrics, identify process improvements, and implement solutions.
      • Maintain stand equipment, uniforms, and supplies.

      • Lead, coach, and support a team of Banistas u2014 helping them grow and succeed.
      • Set individual goals and training plans for continuous development.
      • Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and provide actionable feedback.
      • Hire, onboard, and train new team members.
      • Promote teamwork, high morale, and a culture of accountability.
      • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Northwest Center and Amazon.

      Customer Experience

      • Set the tone by modeling outstanding customer service.
      • Resolve escalated customer issues with professionalism and care.
      • Ensure cleanliness and presentation standards at every location.
      • Act as the primary point of contact for Amazon and vendor partners to ensure smooth, consistent service.

      Who You Are:

      • Associate degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • 2+ years of leadership experience, preferably managing teams of 10+.
      • 2+ years in customer service, hospitality, or administrative roles.
      • Background in food service or community engagement is a plus.
      • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
      • Strong communicator and confident team leader.
      • Calm under pressure, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
      • Skilled in conflict resolution, process improvement, and multitasking.

      Working Conditions & Physical Demands :
      • Travel between Seattle and Bellevue locations required.
      • Must be able to carry and lift up to 50 lbs, including a backpack with supplies.
      • Comfortable walking within a 1.5-mile radius on large corporate campuses.
      • Ability to stand and/or sit at a workstation for up to 8 hours per day.
      • Fine motor skills required to operate standard office and mobile equipment.
      • Must be able to handle bananas without allergic reaction.
      • Comfortable working in a dog-friendly environment with over 1,000 dogs on campus.
      • Flexible schedule including occasional early mornings, late evenings, and weekend shifts.
      • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather, including cold (under 40u00B0F for up to 3 hours).
