- Advisory services to assist change by participating in initiatives and priorities, helping develop new programs and providing solutions to financial and business issues.
- Audits/reviews of programs and functions to help improve efficiency and ensure governance, management and control systems are operating effectively.
- Information technology reviews to address business, privacy and security risks and strengthen the government's overall information management process.
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree in a related field such as economics, business administration, public administration, or sciences; OR
- Other relevant certification, including CIA, MBA, or CISA; OR
- Completion of a professional accounting designation, including CA, CGA, CMA or CPA; OR
- Enrolled in the CPA Professional Education Program.

- Working in our Victoria or Vancouver office is a requirement for this position.

Internal Audit and Advisory Services (IAAS or Branch) provides independent and objective assurance and advice to support effective financial management, governance, accountability, and performance management practices.
IAAS covers a wide range of internal audit and consulting services for ministries, agencies, and Crown corporations, including:
As an Audit Analyst, you will conduct audits and advisory services, including research and analysis, review information provided to IAAS, interviews with ministries, Crowns, and other agencies, help to prepare reports and draft recommendations. Successful applicants will be encouraged to grow their skills within the organization and may be encouraged to compete for Auditor and Senior Auditor roles in the future.

Experience:Minimum of six (6) months of recent experience within the last two (2) years in any of the following areas:
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preference may be given to candidates with internal audit experience.
