Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Booking Centre, Melchett Road in Kings Norton to be a part of our Booking Team. We are looking to recruit a confident and capable individual to join our diverse team.
The post holder will facilitate an empathic and sensitive point of contact for patients/relatives/carers, providing an accessible source for patients to discuss their needs, enabling a more informed choice regarding their healthcare.
Responsible to the Booking Centre Management Team, the post holder will be working as part of a team to deliver a smooth, efficient and effective service of patient referrals and appointments. There is a requirement to complete full in-house training on all systems, which will be provided to the successful applicant.
The successful applicant would be required to work 10.00am until 18.00pm, Monday to Friday.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be responsible for the receiving and processing of patient referrals and appointments.
Receiving and dealing with telephone enquires as appropiate.
Deal effectively with patient or staff queries/issues on the telephone or via email, and escalate concerns or complaints to management where necessary.
To cover tasks as and when given by management.
Dealing with communication barriers, complaints and complext needs.
Working collaboratively as part of an integrated team.
