- Req#: 1152831
- Post secondary degree in a related field such as human resources, public administration, business administration, communications or equivalent;
- Minimum two (2) years of experience with full-cycle recruitment (e.g., sourcing, job profile writing, posting and marketing, screening, assessments, interviewing, and other duties related to hiring);
- Minimum two (2) years of experience providing advice and expertise on HR matters to management in a client-centered model;
- Minimum two (2) years of experience researching, analyzing and manipulating HR data using tools like Microsoft Excel;
- Minimum two (2) years of experience leading HR projects and initiatives; OR
- An equivalent amount of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Experience with the BC Public Service Recruitment process.
- Experience with large scale, high volume “bulk” hiring competitions.
- Experience with recruitment marketing and outreach initiatives and/or projects

The Team
The Human Resources Branch (HR) supports the Ministry of Children and Family Development with human resources and organizational development initiatives, programs and services related to ministry and sector workforce planning, corporate learning and leadership development, corporate priorities, occupational health and safety, health and well-being, equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racism, hiring services, and client services. The HR team focuses on the strategic and operational needs of the ministry to ensure it has the people and skills it needs to provide exceptional services to the children, youth, and families of British Columbia, now and into the future.
The Role
The HR Consultant will be responsible for leading high priority recruitment services and initiatives in the ministry. This may include leading centralized bulk hires, marketing and talent acquisition strategies, or other recruitment initiatives outlined in the ministry workforce plan. In addition to leading a recruitment portfolio, this position may also lead a small team that supports them in this work.
