      Job summary

      MLA Blood Sciences Reception:

      We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated members of staff to work in our Pathology Reception providing support to the Blood Sciences laboratoryacross our laboratory sites in West Herts Hospitals NHS Trust.

      Applicants may be required to work shifts from 0800h to 2000h Monday to Friday (37.5 hours), and some weekend shifts.

      Laboratory experience and keyboard skills will be an advantage, however full training will be provided.

      Main duties of the job

      The successful candidate will be required to work at either of the sites providing blood science services (Watford or Hemel Hempstead Hospital),

      The role principally involves the registering of patient requests onto the laboratory IT system and sample preparation prior to analysis by our Biomedical Scientist team. The role is busy and requires an exceptional degree of accuracy.
