- Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, psychology, public administration or related field plus two (2) years of related experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Experience in developing, implementing, managing and evaluating strategic HR and organizational development programs or projects.
- Experience providing advice and expertise on complex HR matters to executive senior management in a client centered model.
- Experience implementing and managing corporate initiatives across large organizations.
- Experiencing working with unionized and non-unionized workforces, interpreting and applying collective agreements, and providing advice to senior leaders with labour relations issues.
- Experience supervising and managing staff.
- Experience developing briefing notes, business cases, presentations and other documents for Management and Ministry Executives.

The Team
The Client Services team serves as a trusted advisor to Ministry leadership, providing expert, timely, and accurate guidance on human resources inquiries, empowering leadership in comprehensive employee lifecycle management, and supporting MCFD leadership in HR knowledge and successes. The teams provides trusted and timely direct human resources services in the form of advice and strategic recommendations to excluded supervisors and senior management throughout the ministry.
The Role
Reporting to the Director of HR Services, the Senior Manager of Client Services leads a dynamic team at the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD), driving both operational and strategic HR excellence. This role leads the development and implementation of corporate-wide programs, services and initiatives related to staffing, retention, succession management, workforce planning, and employee engagement. The Senior Manager of Client Services oversees the development and rollout of Ministry operational and strategic human resource services and leads a team of Human Resource Consultants (HRCs), ensuring their work not only supports Ministry clients but also aligns HR strategies with the Ministry’s Strategic Plan and corporate government initiatives.

About this Position:
This position is excluded from union membership.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work a hybrid schedule as per the Telework Agreement upon discussion with supervisor.
