      The Information Management Branch (IMB) in CITZ is supporting Ministry partners in hiring Senior Product Manager positions and, potentially, creating an eligibility list for future opportunities as well. Two branches that IMB is hiring for are:

      • The Corporate Privacy Office (CPO) provides services, support, and leadership to help ministries understand their legislative responsibilities under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA). CPO provides training, consultative support on strategic privacy issues, supports Ministry Privacy Officers and the implementation of the Privacy Management and Accountability Policy and reviews Privacy Impact Assessments for all ministries. CPO is also responsible for the coordination, investigation, and resolution of all government information incidents, including privacy breaches.

      • The Planning and Performance Branch designs and leads shared ways of working together to deliver services and to facilitate alignment, innovation and collaboration across the Division. Its work includes ensuring good stewardship of Enterprise Services (ES) products and services, organizational change management, governance, and performance and portfolio management to ensure the successful delivery of ES services. Leading the coordination of data to support evidence-driven decision making, the team supports executives in identifying opportunities and risks for a healthy product portfolio in alignment with product roadmaps, industry best practices and client experience.


      The Senior Product Manager is responsible for leading a multidisciplinary agile delivery team to develop a new major digital product or service and/or extensive iterations to significant existing products and/or services.

      Job Requirements:

      Education and Experience:

      • A degree in Information Technology and/or Information Management discipline or a related technical field, comparable diploma, certification(s) and experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered:
      • A minimum of four (4) years of combined experience in the following:
        • Using user-centered design practices in the development of digital products and services.
        • Using modern agile project management practices, open source development and cloud platforms to design, deliver and continuously improve high quality digital products and services.
        • Managing complex enterprise IM/IT projects with multiple interdependencies including major business transformations, strategic communications, and the oversight of system integrators.
        • Leading change management initiatives across a large organization.
        • Challenging and removing unnecessary barriers to product delivery

      Successful completion of security screening requirements of the BC Public Service, which may include a criminal records check, and/or Criminal Records Review Act (CRRA) check, and/or enhanced security screening checks as required by the ministry (Note: It is important that you read the job posting carefully to understand the specific security screening requirements pertaining to the position).

      There are two (2) positions available
      Remote work is allowed, this position can work up to full time from their home in British Columbia subject to an approved telework agreement. The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations.
