Main duties of the job
You would be working as part of a wellbeing & recovery team with a mixture of psychosocial and clinical interventions to support the prison population. This unique environment houses a large and diverse population that need your nursing abilities. There are many opportunities to develop new skills and this role is ideal for nurses seeking to broaden their knowledge and understanding of caring for high risk adults often with complex needs.
We emphasise good collaborative working across teams and regular cross functional meetings to encourage learning and development within the team.

As a Band 5 Nurse you will provide high-quality clinical assessment and treatment to substance dependant prisoners, working in partnership with HM Prison Service and all other stakeholders.
You will ensure the delivery and monitoring of high standards of nursing care and relevant substance misuse interventions to all service users in accordance with the standards set out in the NMC Code of Conduct.
