      Job summary

      Would you like to join a small team of nurses overseeing the Children's Outpatients department at the Horton General Hospital in Banbury? You would be supported by the Ward Sisters who line manage the clinic and the already established team in the outpatients department.

      The department operates Monday to Friday and hosts a wide variety of clinics run by both doctors and nurses.

      The Horton is part of Oxford University Hospital trust and we are part of Children's Hospital Trust which allows us to have access to education and development of our staff.

      Main duties of the job

      To oversee the running of the clinic and line manage the team. You will be expected to ensure the full utilisation of all the rooms and to ensure all standards are maintained and families receive high standards of care.

      You will encouraged to develop the team and consider any further developments that you feels would benefit the department and the team, whilst ensuring all standards are met.

      • Is registered as an RN with Children's speciality nursing.
      • Articulate and knowledgeable of skills needed to deliver a high standard of care in the area of practice

      Desirable

      • Has experience of working within general paediatrics at band 5 or above.
      • Has experience of working within children's outpatients setting.
      • Has experience of managing a team.
      • Able to supervise non-registered and less experienced staff to ensure effective care delivery
