      Job summary

      The Upper GI CNS will be the first point of contact for patients referred to upper GI 2ww and be responsible for booking appropriate investigations and pre-assessment of the patient. The CNS will be accountable for coordinating appointments working closely with the administrative team within Gastroenterology and booking teams. Be responsible in ensuring essential follow up appointments are made to enable patient monitoring and ensure databases are maintained

      MDT working with Surgeons, Cancer specialists and Gastroenterologist.

      Breaking bad news.

      Attending clinics with patients and families to coordinate a plan of care.

      Working alongside the care navigator to tack patients through the pathway within the national 2 week wait guidelines.

      Working with UHM to follow patients through the surgical pathway.
