      Job summary

      The Band 7 Sonographer position at the Royal Free Hospital is a dynamic and multifaceted role within the Imaging Department. This role requires a skilled professional capable of performing a diverse range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations across various specialties including obstetrics, gynaecology, abdominal, paediatrics, and small parts imaging.       Main duties of the job

      As a Band 7 Sonographer, the main duties include conducting comprehensive ultrasound examinations and providing accurate reports. The role involves training and supervising junior sonographers and assistant staff, effectively managing the daily workflow, and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of patient records. Additionally, the Sonographer is tasked with maintaining and caring for sophisticated ultrasound equipment, participating in departmental audits, research activities, and playing an active role in governance, focusing on areas such as risk management and health and safety protocols.
