- Jointly lead a service comprising speech and language therapists, therapy support workers and apprentices. Alongside another Family Service Manager colleague and Service Clinical Lead.
- Be highly motivated and responsible for ensuring robust local accountability for performance, quality, safety and finance across the teams.
- Have excellent partnership, networking and communication skills, with operational management experience and strong collective leadership skills that can motivate individuals and teams to help to build and sustain change.
- Work well in partnership with members of the wider leadership team and stakeholders, providing operational management and leadership for Clinical Team Leaders and Specialists.
- Degree, Equivalent NVQ Level relevant Professional/management qualification OR equivalent experience.
- Professional qualification related to the areas of practice within services being managed.
- Masters degree or equivalency.
- Evidence of formal/informal management training.
- Evidence of leadership courses/training.
- Project Management experience.
- Substantial recent experience of line management and leadership of clinical/non-clinical services.
- Experience of partnership working across organisational boundaries (including PVI sector).
- Performance Management.
- National & Local Drivers relating to integrated children services.
- Application of Governance and Quality Assurance Systems.
- Clinical Risk Management with an operational environment.
- Engagement of service users in the development and governance of service.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within FYPC LDA Directorate for a Family Service Manager working in Group 2, specifically the Childrens Speech and Language Therapy team at Band 8A in a full time role.
We are looking for a highly motivated, compassionate and skilled leader who can bring excellent team working and energy for transformation and delivery of the service to children and families across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
The service delivers evidence-based interventions for children and young people with a range of speech, language, communication, eating and drinking needs across community and acute settings.
