      The Bangor Payroll Project & Data Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the strategic and operational goals of the Bangor Payroll department. This position is responsible for coordinating cross-functional projects, analyzing and reporting on key data metrics, helping drive efficiency and process improvement efforts, and providing comprehensive support to department leadership. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working with data and cross-departmental teams.

      The Bangor Payroll Project & Data Coordinator will be expected to build strong relationships with other key leaders, and their teams, throughout Bangor Payroll and the entire bank. A strong skillset in collaboration, organization and time management, building relationships, and solution-based leadership will be required in order to ensure success while involved in issue resolution, project management, and process enhancement. Additionally, the Bangor Payroll Project & Data Coordinator should continuously acquire, maintain and increase their knowledge of payroll, project management, and data-related subject matter.

      Routinely exercises discretion and independent judgment while performing duties.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Project Coordination
        • Assist in planning, tracking, and executing departmental projects and initiatives.
        • Maintain project documentation, timelines, and status updates.
        • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and follow up on action items.
        • Learn/continuously build expertise in project tracking/coordination systems such as (but not limited to) Smartsheet and Microsoft Planner.
      • Data Analysis & Reporting
        • Collect, analyze, and interpret payroll and operational data to support decision-making.
        • Develop and maintain dashboards and regular reports for leadership.
        • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
        • Learn/continuously build expertise with reporting and data analysis tools such as (but not limited to) Cognos and Fresh Desk.
      • Process Improvement
        • Evaluate existing processes and workflows, identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
        • Collaborate with team members to design and implement streamlined solutions
        • Document new procedures and support change management efforts
        • Monitor the impact of improvements and adjust strategies as needed.
      • Leadership & Operational Support
        • Exhibits BSB shared leadership commitments at all times
        • Provide administrative and strategic support to department leaders.
        • Assist with budget tracking, resource planning, and internal communications.
        • Support compliance and audit-related documentation and processes.
      • Collaboration & Communication
        • May serve as a liaison between Bangor Payroll and other departments.
        • Facilitate effective communication and information flow across teams.
        • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, data analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
      • Experience in payroll, financial services, project management, or data analysis helpful
      • Proficiency with Microsoft suite, Smartsheet and FreshDesk ticketing system helpful
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

      Physical Demands/Conditions Requirements:

      • General office environment.
      • Moderate lifting (to 35 lbs.) required. Moderate reaching, walking, sitting and standing required.
