Job summary
This job opportunity is for an experienced Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker looking for control and flexibility to work the shifts they want. Main duties of the job
As a Healthcare Assistant on the Elysium Healthcare staff bank, you will be part of a team providing care and support to individuals with a range of mental health conditions. You will utilize your previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, or Care Worker to help service users lead a valued and fulfilled life. The role can be challenging at times, but it is highly rewarding to see people improve and achieve goals. You will have the freedom to choose the shifts you want to work, with 24/7 operation and 12.5-hour standard shifts.

There is no minimum number of hours that you need to work, although it is recommended to work as often as you can to ensure your induction knowledge and familiarity with the service is retained.
Weekdays, nights and weekend shifts are regularly available, which are easy to view and book through an app. Within a few taps you’ll have the nursing shifts at Thornford Park secured that you want.
Whether your nursing experience is from the NHS or private sector, you can join the team as a Bank Healthcare Assistant with an hourly rate that includes a 12.07% uplift to cover annual leave, plus have access to a range of benefits including free meals on duty, free parking and more.

Location: Crookham Hill, Thatcham, Berkshire, RG19 8ET
You will be working at Thornford Park, a 130 bedded independent hospital which supports service users that require medium and low secure Forensic Mental Health Services. In addition to these services there is also a PICU Mental Health Service.
The service provides a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering people in their recovery and rehabilitation.
Working alongside the multidisciplinary team, you will provide personalised assessment and treatment programmes for males with mental illness/complex care needs as well as those with personality disorder, and females and males in a PICU service.
