- Additional skills and competencies within nursing achieved through accreditation with skills for health, First Steps Programme or universally recognised Higher Care certificate .

- Knowledge of health of primary care, mental health and addiction support and an ability to work across these areas under supervision
- Knowledge of nursing procedures and practices.
- Previous experience of using or accessing mental health services or caring for someone who has accessed services

- Good patient assessment skills - knowledge of signs and symptoms of a range of mental and physical disorders and its effects on individuals

- Ability to undertake ECG's
- Experience in wound care and wound management
- Experience in monitoring and support with the management of long term conditions

You could be a key part of our multi-disciplined healthcare team, providing individualised care for our patients in a prison environment. Our services include reception screening, providing agreed care packages, undertaking appropriate physical health observations, clinics such as Phlebotomy, ECG, NHS health checks, sexual health and health promotion.
Main duties of the job
You will need a good level of communication skills, be a team player and provide high standards of care to patients under the supervision of a qualified nurse/practitioner.
If you have NVQ level 3 and a good level of care experience, then we could have the perfect job for you!
