      Medical Secretary

      Cromwell Hospital, London SW5 0TU

      Bank Position (2 to 3 shifts a week and to help with sickness and annual leave)

      Role Overview

      As Medical Secretary, you will provide administrative support for the Medical Secretaries’ department. You will interact with patients, consultants, staff and visitors to facilitate a coordinated pathway of care for patients.

      What you’ll do

      • Provide admin support to the department, prioritising doctors’ workload accordingly ensuring each practitioner’s work is accurately completed on time
      • Filing correspondence, test results and referral letters into the patient’s notes before returning to medical records
      • Taking telephone messages and relevant queries
      • Sending and receiving email messages and relaying those promptly to the doctor concerned
      • Supporting with the coordination of multi-disciplinary team meetings to ensure consultant engagement and smooth running of the meeting
