Bank of Utah is excited to be hiring interns for the summer of 2024. Our 12-week internship program (May 20th – August 9th, 2024) will immerse you in the real work of one of Utah's largest community banks. You will get a chance to meet and learn from senior leadership, network with other interns and understand the various aspects of banking through regular learning opportunities. CREDIT ANALYST ASSISTANT – Full Time Intern in Salt Lake City

This intern will be located at 50 S 200 E, Salt Lake City, Utah. You will be performing credit assessment, documentation, and gaining invaluable hands-on experience in evaluating the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses, as well as loan closing processes. Under the mentorship of seasoned professionals, you'll sharpen your analytical skills, enhance your understanding of risk management, and contribute to real-world lending decisions. This internship offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the dynamic landscape of banking, while paving the way for a rewarding career in finance. Qualified candidates will have will need at a minimum some coursework and/or experience with finance, accounting, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

CREDIT ANALYST ASSISTANT – Full Time Intern in St. George

You will be performing credit assessment, documentation, and gaining invaluable hands-on experience in evaluating the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses, as well as loan closing processes. PERSONAL/CORPORATE TRUST – Full Time Intern in Salt Lake City

This intern will be located at 50 S. 200 E. Salt Lake City, UT. This position works as an analyst to the Trust and Investment Officers. Executes high level and critical project requests from senior trust staff, and maintains records and files, and resolves complex operational issues while overseeing daily personal trust transactions. Manages the daily activities for a given section of the company's operations, including trade execution, asset movement, tax payments, and corporate fee transactions.

RISK/COMPLIANCE – Full Time Intern in Ogden

The Risk/Compliance Intern will be located at 2605 Washington Blvd. Ogden, UT. The intern will be helping the bank understand the implications and processes around risk management and new compliance regulations. They will learn how the bank identifies and mitigates risk factors across products and processes. They will also learn how bank regulations are interpreted and applied. The risk and compliance function of the bank provides a unique opportunity to understand how various risk categories are managed across the organization.

CONSTRUCTION LENDING OPERATIONS – Full Time Intern in Ogden

The Construction Lending Operations Intern will be located at 2605 Washington Blvd. Ogden, UT. The intern will be working closely with the Operations team to facilitate the correct management of over 250+ projects, implementation of a new software process, and helping the team stay productive and on top of the great standard of service. The intern will be working with builders, borrowers, and loan officers on a regular basis. The right candidate will have strong communication skills for both internal and external customers, a strong attention to detail, and a collaborative, team centered approach.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY – Full Time Intern in Ogden

The Jr. Data Analyst intern for will be located at 2605 Washington Blvd. Ogden, UT. The Junior Data analyst will be supporting data aggregation and analysis of Bank data. They will help coordinate and assist in data projects from different business units with their role. The main responsibility in this position is to engineer data to turn it into useable flows for further analysis in visualizations. The Junior Data Analyst Intern is expected to assist in the collections and analysis of data using data analytic tools and RPA tools to gather and organize reliable data. Qualified applicants will have experience in Tableau. Preferred coding skills in languages such as SQL and Python.

MARKETING – Part Time Intern in Ogden

The Marketing Intern will be located at 2605 Washington Blvd. Ogden, UT. Intern will provide administrative and graphic design support in our marketing department to assist in furthering our mission as the state’s top community bank. This individual will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of marketing efforts across a broad range of mediums. The ideal candidate will aid in the completion of the following tasks:

• Assist in social media management
• Prepare presentations
• Assist with event collateral
• Creative development for billboards, print and electronic media
• Contribute to website content
• Other duties as needed
