      Job summary

      We are pleased to offer an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Pharmacist to join our Northwest Pharmacy team. This flexible bank position involves delivering an efficient and effective medicines management service across our hospital

      Main duties of the job

      • Conduct Medicine reconciliations and drug chart clinical screening for inpatients

      • Ensure the safe and secure management of pharmaceutical stock, including procurement

      • Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals

      • Support and conduct medicines governance audits across sites

      • Train clinical staff in medicines management best practices

      • Monitor and report on compliance with medicines management Policies

      Bank Pharmacist Northwest Ramsay Hospitals - Bank Hours

      An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacist to join our dynamic pharmacy team within the Northwest Ramsay Hospitals on a flexible bank basis.

      This medicines management-focused role is ideal for a candidate seeking a new and rewarding challenge.

      The Role

      As a Bank Pharmacist, you will work as an integral part of the wider clinical team, delivering a high standard of efficient, patient-centred care. The role involves drug chart clinical screening, medicines optimisation, patient counselling, and contributing to medication safety audits. You will be expected to adhere to Ramsays policies and procedures to support the best possible clinical outcomes for our patients.

      Locations: Renacres (Ormskirk), Euxton Hall (Chorley), Buckshaw (Buckshaw Village), Fulwood Hall (Preston), Oaklands (Salford)

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Conduct Medicine reconciliations and drug chart clinical screening for inpatients

      • Ensure the safe and secure management of pharmaceutical stock, including procurement

      • Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals

      • Support and conduct medicines governance audits across sites

      • Train clinical staff in medicines management best practices

      • Monitor and report on compliance with medicines management Policies

      What you will bring with you:

      • Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacist

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

      • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

      • Flexibility to work across multiple hospital sites within the region

      • Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional patient care

      • A strong customer-focused approach and professional demeanour
