Job summary
The role of the phlebotomist is to collect blood specimens by venepuncture using specialist blood collection equipment from patients in Clinical settings. The hours of the service are 8am to 4:30pm Mon to Fri. This vacancy is based at North Cambs Hospital in Wisbech Cambridgeshire
The post-holder will work as part of a team of Phlebotomists to provide an efficient, cost-effective and timely clinical service to patients.The post-holder will maintain high professional standards, professional knowledge and competency, undertaking personal continuing profession development.
Main duties of the job
To perform blood taking from patients attending the pathology department following request from health care professionals in hospital or community services
