      Reports to Associate Director, Banking Operations

      The purpose of this position is to support the Client Facing Teams ("CFT"), Investor Services Teams and the Banking Relationship Leads in completing banking support activities, process client and investor payments whilst adhering to the Aztec Banking Relationships Framework, Payment policies and procedures.

      What you'll be doing

      Banking Relationship Management

      • Serve as the primary U.S. contact for all institutional banking relationships. Create and maintain a Banking Relationships collaboration site, Banking Relationships database and Banking Intranet site for U.S.
      • Build and maintain strong partnerships with U.S. banks and financial institutions, including those specializing in alternative investments and fund administration.
      • Identify and onboard new banking partners to support operational needs

      Payments

      • Hire, develop and lead the U.S. payments operations team responsible for our clients capital activity, including distributions, payment runs, capital call reconciliation, etc.
      • Implement secure, scalable and automated banking and processes
      • Leverage technology to optimize cash flow and payments operational efficiency
      • Design and enforce internal controls to mitigate fraud and ensure operational integrity

      Operations

      • Act as the banking lead on strategic initiatives including fund launches and platform integrations
      • Work closely with banking Relationship Leads, CFTs, IS and IT Security to ensure we meet our clients’ banking needs and facilitate any ad-Hoc requests
      • Be a source of information and escalation point for Client Facing Teams for banking queries
      • Be a central point of contact for all banks when supporting Relationship Leads, keeping up to date with regulations and system changes
      • Support Client Facing Teams with account opening, providing guidance such as specific KYC and AML queries
      • Ensure that the Aztec Banking Relationships Framework and IT Security policies and processes are adhered to
      • Support CFTs when setting up new banking platforms
      • Complete reviews on all banks across the group as part of the Banking Relationships Framework
      • Build and enhance relationships with all banks across the group
      • Oversee and manage banking complaints and/or system issues
      • Hire and train new banking associates
      • Create KPI's for Payments team
      • Ensure that the team operate withing Aztec controls, policies and procedure
      • Ad-hoc banking projects.
      • Liaise with the business to ensure Authorised Signatory lists are kept up to date at the banks, with a view to centralising the process.
      • Work closely with global counterparts to ensure seamless cross-border banking operation

      Policy, Procedure and Governance

      • Lead the development and implementation of U.S. banking policies and procedures aligned with Aztec global standards
      • Document internal workflows and escalation protocols to ensure
      • Ensure compliance with all applicable U.S. Banking regulations, including KYC, AML, OFAC, etc.
      • Act as subject matter expert for U.S. Banking during audits and regulatory reviews
      • Partner with compliance team, monitor regulations and adjust practices accordingly

      What we're looking for

      • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
      • 7+ years’ experience in banking, treasury, or a similar role within the financial services industry.
      • Understanding of U.S. Banking regulations and payments
      • Previous people management and team leadership experience is preferred.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential.
      • Experience with managing or processing cash payments and transactions is advantageous.
      • Familiarity with banking regulatory compliance standards is beneficial.
      • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing and documentation.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional, client-focused approach.
      • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
      • Exceptional communication, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
      • Relationship with major US banks a plus
      • Experience in payments and banking platforms
      • Ability to pro-actively plan and manage work through to successful completion
      • Excellent interpersonal skills are required to develop close working relationships with colleagues and bank staff
      • Computer literacy skills are essential
      • The ability to elicit the requirements of the CFTs and select the correct platform or access rights with the bank
