  Registered Nurse
  This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.

  Patient Care Assistant and Certified Patient Care Assistant
  This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records and provides a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Current BLS certification is required. Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice is required for new hires and transfers. In Tucson: Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice is required for new hires. Existing Tucson incumbents may not transfer out of their geographical market without meeting the CNA requirement. Requires skills and abilities typically attained with 1 year of medical clerical experience; preferably in a hospital or physician office setting, or prior experience in customer service. Must possess excellent organizational skills, as well as effective human relations and communication skills. Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy and keyboarding skills is required.

  Medical Assistant

  This position is responsible for assisting clinicians and nursing staff in providing medical care, as well as, implementing and evaluating direct patient care. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment and skills to provide an excellent patient experience.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Knowledge as normally obtained through graduation from an Accredited Medical Assisting Program. Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.

  An Uncertified Medical Assistant will be placed in this position up to, but no more than 12 months from date of hire in order to obtain certification. Certification must be completed from one of the following agencies: Active Medical Assistant certification such as: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) with proof of current membership from American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with proof of current membership from American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) with proof of current membership from National Health Career Association (NHA) (Test administered after 7/1/2017 only) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) with proof of current membership from National Certified Competency Testing (NCCT).

  Emergency Department Technician

  This position is responsible for providing patient care and assists health care providers in performing assigned patient procedures within scope of training. Position receives general supervision from RN, APN, PA, or Physician in providing patient care.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Either Emergency Medical Technician–Basic (EMT-B) or higher with state licensure or state certification, or Certified Nursing Assistant in state of practice is required for new hires and transfers.

  Physical Therapist
  This position is responsible for the evaluation, planning, administration and supervision of Physical Therapy treatment in accordance with physician referral, state and national organizational standards, regulatory agencies, and established departmental policies and procedures. This position demonstrates the clinical competence and knowledge necessary to provide treatment appropriate to the age of the patients served.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  Must have graduated from an APTA accredited school of Physical Therapy, or equivalent. Must possess a current Physical Therapy license within the State of practice. BLS certification required.

  Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

  Functions as an advance practice registered nurse practitioner or physician assistant and consults with or refers patients to other health care providers or agencies as appropriate. Facilitates collaborative practice and interdisciplinary planning with patient-care team. Uses both advance nursing and medical knowledge in providing direct patient care. As a Banner provider you will provide comprehensive care by promotion of health, prevention of illness and injury. You will serve as a critical role within the health care team, as well as working closely with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff to provide safe, satisfying care to patients and their families.

  Nurse Practitioner

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  Requires current RN license in state of practice. Must be certified to practice by the State Board of Nursing within a particular population as a nurse practitioner. Requires current BLS certification. Depending on scope of practice, may also require advanced life support applicable to discipline and practice site. May require personal DEA license or must have prescribing and dispensing authority granted by the applicable state board of nursing. Depending on business need/area of focus, this position may require evidence of collaboration arrangement as required by CMS, Medical Staff or State laws, whichever is more restrictive. Additional technical and professional certifications and training in accordance with appropriate certifying board.

  Physician Assistant

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  NCCPA certification required. Ability to maintain CME currency as required to maintain NCCPA certification. May require personal DEA license for compliance with the applicable state regulatory agency. Must be approved to practice by the State Joint Board on the Regulation of Physician's Assistants. Employees working at Banner MD Anderson on the Banner University Medical Center Phoenix campus must possess a State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. This is a requirement of the Whole Family Counseling Program held at this specific facility.

  Radiology Technologist

  This position performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiology program. Requires national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure by the state regulatory agency if applicable. BLS certification required. This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 1 year of experience. Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, analyze data and solve problems.

  Pharmacy Technician

  This position will work under the supervision of the pharmacist performing routine duties in packaging, distribution, non-sterile compounding, and record-keeping of pharmaceutical supplies. Serves as a liaison between the customer and the pharmacist.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state of practice. Ability to complete moderate to difficult mathematical calculations using a hand-held calculator is required. Strong customer service focus, exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, prioritization capabilities, superior problem-solving skills, and ability to multi-task. Must have knowledge of computer software, particularly medication management information system software, Microsoft applications and automated dispensing systems. Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills for interfacing with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, and other contacts

  Behavioral Health Specialist

  As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will provide direct care to psychiatric patients working under the direction of a registered nurse.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health related field OR High School diploma or equivalent with 1 year of direct patient care in an inpatient behavioral health setting. This should include but is not limited to experience in an inpatient psychiatric facility; assisting with personal grooming and other activities of daily living; conducting educational, recreational and skills groups appropriate to current patient population; creating, maintaining, and encouraging an inpatient therapeutic milieu; maintaining observation precautions and applying non-violent de-escalation interventions in crisis situations; recognizing the common symptoms of mental illness such as depression, psychosis, mood dysregulation, substance abuse, maladaptive behavior, and anxiety; understanding how symptoms are related the patient's mental illness diagnosis and providing ordered treatment interventions appropriate to the diagnosis. Such experience is commonly achieved in care of patients in psychiatric acute care hospitals, inpatient psychiatric facilities and State hospital programs.

  Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital or BTMC Behavioral must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.

  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required. Meets age requirement as specified by state agency.

  CT Technologist

  This position performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program. National Certification required from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT(R) or ARRT(NM)) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB (CNMT)). State Licensure required for AZ, WY, NV; includes Radiography or Nuclear Medicine and CT license prior to hire (not required in Colorado). Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography required within 18 months of hire from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT(CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board – NMTCB (CT). Certification for BLS is required.

  Registered Dietitian RDN

  As a Registered Dietitian, you will be an essential member of our team and interact closely with our medical providers, our administration, our nursing staff, our therapy teams, and our culinary department to support our patients. You will be providing comprehensive nutritional assessments, developing appropriate nutrition care plans, monitoring outcomes, providing patient and family nutrition counseling and education, developing Nutrition Standards of Practice and Education material in collaboration with peers, participating in interdisciplinary Health Care teams and providing input into patient care, policies, programs, quality improvement activities and providing in-service education in areas of expertise.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  Must possess knowledge of nutrition and dietetics demonstrated through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and/or Dietetics. Must be a Registered Dietitian or RD Eligible based on academic and professional requirements as defined by the Commission on Dietetic Registration(CDR) of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Effective January 1, 2024 CDR requires a minimum of Master's degree to be eligible to take the registration examination. Must possess RD credentials within 6 months of hire. Must hold current registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and be able to maintain ongoing registration verification of registration annually. Maintains current licensure as required by State law.

  Registered Respiratory Therapist

  As an RRT, you will independently provides respiratory care, pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing to patients in a variety of health care settings. Performs pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing as prescribed in accordance with established department/hospital policies and procedures. Performs patient assessments and evaluates patient response to care provided, making recommendations to physicians regarding the plan of care, appropriate use of respiratory therapy and modification of therapy as clinical condition changes. Documents therapy provided in an accurate and complete manner in accordance with established department/hospital policies and procedures.

  Cook

  As a Cook, you will produce all required food items based on information obtained from production sheets, catering requests, prep sheets and any other approved source. Plan and conduct daily work to meet food production and service time requirements.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  This position requires the knowledge and abilities in institutional food production normally acquired with one or more years of work experience in production cooking. Must be able to learn and follow established policies and procedures, read and understand written and verbal instruction, communicate effectively, and perform simple math calculations. Must be able to learn food handling regulations and pass certification tests as required. Must possess good interpersonal skills and be able to perform tasks within limited time frames. Must be able to follow production and cleaning schedules, use chemicals safely, read thermometers and follow safety requirements.

  All onsite food service equipment including stoves, ovens, steam-jacketed kettles, tilt skillet, broiler, steam table, grill, deep fryer, slicer, Buffalo Chopper, mixer, food carts, dish racks, cleaning equipment and hazardous chemicals used in cleaning and sanitation.

  Housekeeping/EVS Associate

  As a Housekeeping/EVS Associate you will perform all cleaning of patient rooms and/or assigned areas. Works as a member of the environmental service team to ensure the safety, health, and high morale of patients, visitors and staff by helping to provide a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment with minimal interference to others.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  Requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision. Must be able to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions. Must be able to communicate effectively with others by phone and verbally. Must be able to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for mixing and use of cleaning chemicals, and able to fill out chemical identification stickers.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  Associate or technical degree. Proof of having passed the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). RRT required for all new hires to the position after October 1, 2015. A current license in state practiced as required by state law. In the state of Nevada, all incumbents must have their Blood Gas Technologist certification. Basic Life Support (BCLS) required. Must be knowledgeable of clinical techniques, applications and equipment as typically obtained through one year of clinical experience. Must possess highly effective human relation skills necessary to interface with patients, families, staff and other healthcare personnel.

  Registered Nurse RN New Graduate

  The Banner Health New Nurse Experience is a full-time Registered Nurse position that assists you in transitioning from a new graduate to a fully competent, professional nurse at Banner Health. This program provides a collaborative learning environment in which you can refine your nursing skills, enhance your knowledge, and develop new personal and professional relationships.

  Successful candidates will be placed in specific units at Banner Health facilities to be clinically mentored by unit staff and educators.
