Job Description

- Supervise the event serving team at all stages of a function from set-up to breakdown
- Assist in setting up for events, including moving furniture, setting up buffets/food stations and displays, carrying trays, serving guests, and break down after event’s conclusion
- Reset event spaces in accordance with the Event Managers specifications to ensure the readiness of the room for other functions
- Attend BEO and/or pre-shift meetings to learn function specifics, including bar specs and guest expectations
- Work with the Event Manager/Event Chef to confirm quantities of food items and timing of food leaving the kitchen.
- Consistently check all china, glassware, silverware, and linen.
- Ensure all inventory needs for upcoming events
- Greet and welcome guests and respond to their requests in a friendly and courteous manner
- Offer guests an enjoyable, expertly served, beverage/dining experience conforming to guidelines of excellence for quality, professionalism, and friendliness
- Serve and clears food and beverage items in unobtrusive and professional manner
- Organize small wares and event storage
- Stay knowledgeable with the current menus and offerings, including preparation, ingredients, and description
- Takes interest in continuing knowledge and development with wine, beer, spirits and food
- Must be involved in staff training and adhering to high service standards
- Involved in holding staff accountable for work performance with the help of the senior event leadership team
- Performs administrative functions and assists with special projects as needed
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the Weber Groups high standards
- Uphold health and safety standards including grooming and appearance standards
- Adhere to the Weber Group policies, laws and requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
- 1 year supervisor/lead experience
- 2 years minimum of food and beverage experience
- Great wine and food knowledge
- Able to work well unsupervised
- Computer skills helpful but not required
- Ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol Awareness certification
- Demonstrate high degree of drive and determination
- Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs, including weekends and Holidays
- Frequently walking and standing, possibly extended distances, while carrying trays
- Ability to climb stairs when necessary
- Frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs
- Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
- Ability to work long hours, which can become strenuous on the body

The Event Operations Lead would have the potential to work with multiple entities within the Weber Group portfolio including: The Charmant Hotel, The Waterfront, The Cargill Room event space, Schuby’s Neighborhood Butcher, and more.
