  Status: Full-Time - Flexible Schedule

  (Shifts Available - Day, Evening, Weekend)

  Primary Purpose:

  The primary purpose of the Barista is to provide guests with an excellent café experience.

  Work Performed:

  The Barista will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:

  • Provide high-quality guest service through outstanding interpersonal relations, informing guests about available food, beverage and retail items for purchase and about amenities in the hotel and surrounding area;

  • Market available food, beverage and gift shop items to guests;

  • Prepare specialty coffee drinks in accordance with recipes;

  • Clean and disinfect the café;

  • Maintain and refresh merchandise and food displays ;

  • Capture all sales according to company guidelines , including responsibility for the cash drawer ;

  • Account for all cash and secure money drops according to company policy ;

  • Observe Health Department guidelines for food handling and sanitation so that guests and employees will not be in risk of cross-contamination , especially focusing on cleaning and sanitizing sink s , side boards, and refrigerators clean and sanitized ;

  • Date and rotate food on a daily basis ;

  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management ; and

  • Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.

  Qualifications:

  Required Prior Experience:

  Prior customer service experience

  Preferred Prior Experience:

  Six months experience in food service

  Preferred Education:

  High school diploma or equivalent

  Required Licenses/ Certification:

  Food Safety certificate or complete training during initial 90 days

  Alcohol certification or complete training during initial 90 days

  Preferred Technology:

  Previous experience with Micros operating system

  Physical:

  A ble to lift a minimum of 50lbs occasionally

  Able to bend and squat repeatedly

  Able to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift

  Other:

  F lexible to wor k day , early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays shifts.

  Objetivo principal:

  El objetivo principal del barista es brindar a los huéspedes una excelente experiencia en la cafetería.

  Tareas desempeñadas:

  El barista tendrá las siguientes funciones, responsabilidades y asignaciones:

  • Brindar un servicio al cliente de alta calidad mediante excelentes relaciones interpersonales, informando a los huéspedes sobre la disponibilidad de alimentos, bebidas y artículos de venta al por menor, así como sobre los servicios del hotel y sus alrededores;
  • Comercializar los alimentos, bebidas y artículos de la tienda de regalos disponibles a los huéspedes;
  • Preparar bebidas de café de especialidad según las recetas;
  • Limpiar y desinfectar la cafetería;
  • Mantener y renovar la mercancía y los expositores de alimentos;
  • Registrar todas las ventas de acuerdo con las directrices de la empresa, incluyendo la responsabilidad de la caja registradora;
  • Contabilizar todo el efectivo y asegurar los depósitos de dinero de acuerdo con la política de la empresa;
  • Cumplir con las directrices del Departamento de Salud sobre manipulación e higiene de alimentos para evitar el riesgo de contaminación cruzada entre clientes y empleados, especialmente en la limpieza y desinfección de fregaderos, aparadores y refrigeradores.
  • Fechar y rotar los alimentos diariamente.
  • Seguir todas las políticas y procedimientos de seguridad de la empresa, incluyendo la notificación de accidentes, lesiones y condiciones laborales inseguras a la gerencia.

  Requisitos:

  Experiencia previa requerida:

  Experiencia previa en atención al cliente

  Experiencia previa preferida:

  Seis meses de experiencia en servicios de alimentación

  Educación preferida:

  Diploma de bachillerato o equivalente

  Licencias/Certificaciones requeridas:

  Certificado de seguridad alimentaria o capacitación completa durante los primeros 90 días

  Certificado de alcohol o capacitación completa durante los primeros 90 días

  Tecnología preferida:

  Experiencia previa con el sistema operativo Microsoft

  Condiciones físicas:

  Capacidad para levantar un mínimo de 22.5 kg ocasionalmente

  Capacidad para agacharse y ponerse en cuclillas repetidamente

  Capacidad para caminar y estar de pie durante el turno programado

  Otros:

  Flexibilidad para trabajar en turnos diurnos, matutinos, vespertinos, nocturnos, fines de semana y festivos.
