- Service aspects include guest relations, and the ability to perform objectives in a timely and efficient manner with a focus on quality, while always maintaining an environment of hospitality.
- Take drink orders from patrons or servers and prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes. Mix ingredients for cocktails and serve wine and beer.
- Take food orders and serve guests who dine at the bar and tables when necessary.
- Process collect and handle payments.
- Responsible for setup, maintenance, and operation of the bar including washing, sterilizing, and polishing glassware and instruments. Assist with proper opening and closing of the restaurant.
- Promote and embrace the restaurant’s community and culture by demonstrating respect, positive energy, dependability, honesty, initiative, outgoing nature, and a pleasant, professional appearance.
- Support the restaurant's vision and responsibility of being eco-conscious.
- Assist servers and staff as needed. Perform related work as requested; model and promote teamwork.
- Must have at least two years of bartending experience and be passionate about hospitality.
- Superior temperament, adaptable nature, and good communication skills.
- Motivated professional with a love for taking care of others.
- Demonstrate integrity in all areas, both personal and professional.
- Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly.
- The ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and be able to serve alcohol.
- Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level.
- Working with hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment as well as operating office equipment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to walk.
- May be required to work in very warm or cold conditions for an extended period of time.
- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 45 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Bartender
Summary
The Kitchen Bistro in Boulder is a community gathering spot featuring a seasonal menu and shared plates set in a modern, rustic atmosphere. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and executing, from memory, all classic drinks as well as cocktails on the menu for guests at the bar and in the dining room. Our bartenders support the team and help to create and maintain an exciting, inviting, and progressive environment. This person should be a high-energy, outgoing individual who will help to foster connections with friends, family, and the community through service, food, and drinks. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, eager to learn, and adaptable. We offer a unique, fun environment with the opportunity to grow within the company. The Kitchen Boulder does not pool tips for Front of House employees. Rather, we have a system of individual tips. Bartenders do receive a table section each shift along with receiving tip outs from the service staff for drink production.
