Job Description

- Deliver a quality dining experience in the bar area- accurately take orders, submit orders to kitchen, deliver items to guests, refill glasses, etc.
- Stay open and attentive to the needs of the guest.
- Handle cash transactions and operate a restaurant point-of-sale system.
- Stay current and be able to inform guests of food options, drink options, and specials.
- Maintain a clean dining environment- pre-bus and buss tables, sweep floors, etc. as needed.
- Perform assigned side work tasks and efficiently make use of downtime.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of operating hours, activities, and products offered outside of Food and Beverage department.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.
- Ability to suggestively sell food and drinks and inform customers about food preparation details.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during Whitewater events as needed.
- ServSafe alcohol certification or equivalent preferred
- Knowledgeable in local, regional, and national beer and wine selections
- 1-2 years bartending in a high volume, casual dining atmosphere.
- Must be able to safely self-transport over uneven terrain or in a confined space.
- Must be able to bend, lean, stand, and kneel on a regular basis and for sustained periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and move at least 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work outdoors for sustained periods of time and in all weather and environmental conditions.
- Must be able to work in shared spaces with other employees and customers.
- All positions at Whitewater require employees to report and work onsite at Whitewater locations.

Bartenders at the Whitewater Center are responsible for providing friendly and responsive service to all guests at Whitewater. The Bartender will take orders from guests, distribute orders to guests, and maintain a positive dining experience. The Bartender is a part-time, on-site, hourly position that reports directly to the Front of House Managers.

The Food and Beverage Department delivers exceptional, chef-driven culinary service to Whitewater guests. Whitewater is home to diverse and ever-evolving food and beverage outlets, including full-service and fast-casual dining options. In addition, the Food and Beverage Department oversees catering for private events and Adventure Dining.
