BARX Client Service - FX and FX Options - 6 month FTC

As a Barclays BARX Client Service - FX and FX Options, you’ll be a primary point of contact for clients and internal users of the BARX Foreign Exchange eCommerce applications. The global team provides support for clients 24 hours a day, five days a week. You will support external clients using BARX directly or indirectly via FIX and vendor (ECN) platforms, as well as internal sales and trading colleagues.

What will you be doing?
• Working within the London Region Client Service team
• Providing first line client business support via global inbox and hotlines
• Troubleshooting a variety of setup, pricing and trade queries relating to BARX, working with associated teams and applications to reach resolution
• Analysing potential risk or trade exposure, escalating to the relevant trading or management teams, and involving our risk and compliance partners where necessary
• Taking ownership and accountability of customer queries and problems, run real-time management and co-ordination of system outages with IT
• Working with the development team, trading and sales colleagues to enhance the client experience and to improve system functionality
• Managing and leading system upgrades and testing at regular intervals throughout the year (some weekend work)
What we’re looking for:
• Knowledge of FX and/or FX Option product types
• Some previous experience of supporting applications or trading roles within FX would be an advantage
• Analytical and quantitative ability, comfortable using Excel, and excellent troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication, networking and presentation skills and a willingness/ability to work shifts and occasional weekend work
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Knowledge of financial markets
• Preferably knowledge of single-dealer platforms and multi-bank portals
• Relevant educational background, along with a team oriented, driven, proactive attitude
• Some knowledge of desktop PC technology
Where will you be working?
You will be working at our London Headquarters at 1 Churchill Place, Canary Wharf. Working on our newly created Trading floor, with full access to the building Restaurants /cafeteria’s, fitness center and other amenities. Initial work will mainly be office based with Hybrid working possibilities added later.
