What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the first point of contact for incoming calls from members and providers, providing assistance and guidance
- Resolve benefit and claims inquiries via telephone, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain knowledge of company policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations to provide accurate information
- Meet performance goals in efficiency, accuracy, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Document and research billing and healthcare claim inquiries to verify data accuracy

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service or medical office experience required
- Must be available for onsite training at the Baton Rouge Campus
- Ability to work an assigned 8-hour shift between 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday – Friday
- Hardwired internet connection with speeds greater than 5MB upload and 10MB download

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a call center is preferred
- Familiarity with medical and health insurance terminology
- Completion of the Medical Assistant, Coding & Insurance Pathway from BRCC can be used in lieu of experience
- Certificate in medical office assistant or medical coding can be used in lieu of experience
- Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
