  Program Overview:

  BD’s Regulatory Affairs internship position is designed to attract highly motivated undergraduate students who want to acquire practical work experience relevant to a career in Regulatory Affairs (RA) . As a s ummer i ntern , you can expect to add real value to key projects through challenging and exciting work. You will work directly with a manager in your day-to-day role and be assigned mentors to aid and assist you in your transition into the corporate environment. As part of the broader BD Summer Intern ship Program, interns participate in various networking, career development, and team-building activities !

  Throughout y our summer internship, you will build an extensive professional network, learn how to work in a regulated environment, build your understanding of the importance of d ocumentation , and deliver on regulatory excellence.

  We are recruiting for highly driven students pursuing education in scientific, engineering, or related fields with a passion for innovation, product development and working in the medical device industry.

  Essential / Key Job Responsibilities :

  The Central RA Intern provides support for Regulatory Affairs activities related to Central Regulatory projects , programs , and systems . The i ntern may support multiple Central Regulatory Affairs professionals across different program areas and may work on a single project or support multiple smaller projects. They will assist members of the Central RA team to deliver enterprise-wide programs that support our Global RA teams in their work to comply with global regulatory requirements and ensure project and department deliverables are met.

  • Provide general support for central regulatory projects, under the direction of an RA professional.

  • Effectively manage multiple competing priorities and work in a regulated environment.

  • Assist with the planning, execution, analysis, and reporting for Central RA programs.

  • Interact with our regional and business unit-based RA team members.

  • Work across full suite of Microsoft office software programs, Adobe, and multiple internal software programs/databases .

  • Support updating work instructions related to Global Regulatory processes and systems .

  Required qualifications:

  • Completion of Junior year with work towards a bachelor’s degree in scientific, engineering, or related field .

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to quickly adapt to new professional collaborative environments, deal with ambiguity, take initiative, and achieve results

  • Detail oriented

  • System competency

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction as to duration.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  • Schedule flexibility to allow support of Global teams in multiple regions across EMEA, Greater Asia, and the Americas.

  • Prior experience with a medical device company

  • Understanding of a regulated industry

There are many factors, such as location, that contribute to the range displayed. The salary offered to a successful candidate is based on experience, education, skills, and actual work location. Salary ranges may vary for Field-based and Remote roles.
