      About the role:

      We are looking to hire a Business Development and Marketing Advisor to support our London Energy and Infrastructure practice. The practice comprises 13 partners and 60+ associates who work across the full industry spectrum including energy transition, renewables, nuclear, oil and gas and infrastructure.

      The team are regularly ranked as the No1 firm for renewables work and advise on some of the biggest and most strategic mandates in the energy and infrastructure sectors globally.

      This role will provide proactive support to the practice BDM manager in leading the work of the practice, which includes: pitching, events, practice marketing (CVs, credential requests, training, group updates), publications and opportunity spotting.

      Your main responsibilities will include:

      Business Development

      • Work closely with the Business Development Manager to implement BD plans aligned to the practice’s business plan.

      • Be the lead point of contact for pitch requests, working closely with our Pitch Assistance Centre and / or Strategic Pitch Team

      • Assist in raising the practice’s external profile through product or market specific campaigns, thought leadership, PR, social media, client and industry events and online presence.

      • Plan and facilitate the execution of BD initiatives relating to client targeting. Provide BD tools to enable lawyers to pursue new business leads and to share market developments with clients.

      • Connect with the broader BDM team to assist in driving cross-selling across the firm.

      • Help develop and manage the team’s internal communications.

      • Be the lead point of contact for Energy & Infrastructure’s BD & Marketing requests, including but not limited to: pitches, client alerts, credentials, mailing lists, capability statements, marketing collateral and credentials.

      • Work with global colleagues to ensure that capabilities are appropriate for global / regional use and to ensure globalisation of the infrastructure and processes to ensure consistent documents, messaging, league table submissions, pitch logging, credential gathering etc.

      Client development and relationship management (CRM)

      • Execute pitches for key CRM clients, working with the Strategic Pitch team where necessary.

      • Assist the manager and senior manager with the management of key client relationships in the practice, including organising client teams, the management of client relationship reports, horizon scanning and CKP access.

      We are ideally looking for:

      • Experience of or interest in the developing energy and infrastructure markets

      • Experience in relationship management

      • Ability to accurately identify the key components of an RFP/pitch and to produce an accurate and quality first draft using internal databases.

      • Experience in creating client documents to tight deadlines with attention to detail

      • Previous BD & marketing experience of at least 3 years in professional services.

      This role is based at the Linklaters London office with a hybrid working model available.
