      Basic Job Functions:

      • Trouble shooting problems, changing out the saw blade, and drill bits as needed.
      • Efficiently maintain and track inventory.
      • Maintaining housekeeping and helping to control scrap.
      • Ensuring the correct material is being cut.
      • Removing all cutting fluid and metal chips from cut parts.
      • Operator-level maintenance of machinery.
      • Communication up and down the line to ensure quality and completeness.
      • Operating the Hydmec saw and Beamline machine while making constant adjustments if needed.
      • Being flexible to work any schedule needed.
      • Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Experience with reading drawings, prints, and proficient with a tape measure and micrometer

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Crane and forklift certifications
      • Cross training experience on the Hydmec/Beamline
      • Yard truck Certification
      • Weld Certification
      • Prior mechanical experience
