- Develops programs and/or activities to increase each person’s adaptive and coping skills and independent functioning as well as provide training and guidelines for those in supportive roles to assist in growth and discovery.

- Encourages and develops positive and productive relationships that demonstrate compassion, dignity and respect for all.
- Identifies the needs of the individual for the community supports, working with the community connections including, but not limited to, other organizations.
- Supports the individuals to develop and enhance friendships, family connections and other relationships by teaching skills, providing opportunities and building on individual strengths and capabilities.
- Provides direct consultation in program development and interventions utilizing the best practice and methods of applied behavior analysis, positive approaches, and human learning.
- Conducts environmental and functional assessments of behavior, determines the need for intervention, and completes reports within designated time frames.
- Provides input and/or feedback supported by data collection for analysis on an ongoing basis to all team members on the progress of individual plans to support continuous growth and the delivery of quality service.
- Works towards and/or maintains Behavior Specialist Licensure or other approved licensure/certification standards through continuing education.
- Consistently meets productivity standards set forth by SPIN management.
- Assist with initial RBT assessments for BHTs.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis or Gerontology.
- Previous experience (at least 2 years) working with adults as a Behavior Specialist Consultant and/or has experience with adults with co-occurring behavioral health disorders and/or Intellectual Disabilities and Autism.
- Successful completion of and Certification in Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA).
- Training in Positive Behavioral Supports.

- Must have a valid driver’s license, own/use a vehicle in good working order and have current automobile insurance.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology or related field with prior experience working with individuals with dual diagnosis of intellectual disability and a mental health diagnosis.
- Holds a license as a Behavior Specialist in Pennsylvania or hold another clinical license (LPC/LMFT) in Pennsylvania, or be license eligible within two years of hire
- Experience completing functional behavior assessments (FBA) and ability to analyze data and make data based decisions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, colleagues, staff, families and stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle and insurance
