      Job Description

      To support the vision, mission, and strategic priorities of ESC Region 12 and to provide training in the following areas to Region 12 educators to further meet the needs of campuses and students in the area of School-Wide Routines and Behavior Supports:

      • Collaborate with and provide professional development to assist and support school personnel in understanding Tier 1 behavior and social-emotional deficits and improving communication skills in teachers and ultimately students
      • Develop and coordinate supports to assist campuses and classroom teachers in the necessary system supports for Tier 1 behavior and social-emotional learning with proactive and positive corrective responses toward misbehavior
      • Provide training and coordination in Routines and Procedures to assist campuses and teachers with struggling students
      • Keep Region 12 educators abreast of current trends and issues related to researched best practices for campus behavior supports and social-emotional learning

      Education/Certification

      • Master's degree preferred
      • Valid Texas teaching certificate

      Special Knowledge/Skills

      • Experience in public education in campus/district coaching
      • Experience as a classroom teacher
      • At least 7 years of relevant experience
      • Knowledge and demonstrated competency in systems thinking
      • Thorough knowledge of Behavior Supports
      • Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data
      • Excellent organization and communication skills
      • Positive attitude, self-starter, and team player

      Benefit Information

      • ESC Region 12 provides monetary contribution up to $575 per month to use for employee/family healthcare and supplemental benefits.
      • Employee earns state personal, sick and vacation leave.
