- Answer and document all Behavioral Health and Anti-Violence Project resource line, emails and google document contacts.
- Coordinate with clients around collecting fees, accessing the patient portal, and other concerns as needed.
- Update resource directory and private practice referral list.
- Schedule and provide initial screenings.
- Schedule letters of support appointments.
- Coordinate client linkage to available therapists and other services needed.
- Perform monthly data tracking and record auditing.
- Build and maintain clinical English and Spanish electronic forms.
- Maintain updated client information in billing systems.
- Track and maintain client information and balances in billing systems.
- Maintain balances and invoicing for contractual therapists.
- Verify insurance benefits for all clients.
- Respond and document all medical records requests in compliance with HIPAA laws.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain organizational confidentiality requirements.
- Completion of 40 Hour Domestic Violence Training (paid by COH).

- Experience with insurance billing and coding.
- Technological proficiency with email, electronic health record, and phones.
- LGBTQ culturally competent language via phone and email.
- Knowledge and experience in working with clients that identify as trans, gender non-conforming, and non-binary and those living with HIV.
- Knowledge of local mental health and addiction resources.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and communicate well with colleagues.
- Enthusiasm and commitment to the mission and vision of Center on Halsted.
- Preference for English and Spanish language fluency.

Essential Functions (critical to job function):
Center on Halsted’s Behavioral Health Department offers psychotherapy and support services primarily to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and queer population. COH also offers graduate and post graduate training to psychotherapy students and professionals. Behavioral health services are provided on a sliding scale fee basis, and insurance coverage is accepted from several major providers.
