- Responsible for the overall behavioral health program, including general oversight of all behavioral health policies & procedures, training, metrics management, responding to government partners regarding behavioral health questions or concerns.
- Proactive communication and follow up with federal government behavioral health stakeholders, Contracting Officer’s Representative, and behavioral health senior leaders regarding our performance and that of our behavioral health providers.
- Responsible for developing and implementing Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities relating to behavioral health.
- Provides expert opinion in behavioral health for Valor’s Peer Review Committee.
- Ensures that all behavioral health metrics are at or above the target/threshold set by contractual requirements. Partner with leaders to improve metrics and/or work through corrective action plans.
- Assist with any HR or recruiting initiatives, especially in terms of staffing and retention.
- Identifies and partners with leaders regarding coaching, training, education, and performance development needs.
- Assures contract compliance: schedules, staffing, protocols, etc.
- Serves as a strategic advisor to leadership related to contract opportunities.
- Works with billing/coding to ensure behavioral health providers are documenting appropriately for care provided.

Position Summary
Organizational leader for all behavioral health aspects of the program treating US firefighters under the Department of the interior. Providing virtual therapy, 24/7 crisis mental health services, call center operations, and coordination of onsite providers as needed. Overall ownership of the program includes management, direction, administration, quality assurance, oversight, and leadership of the execution of this contract.
