      This position is fully remote.

      The Behavioral Health Specialist is a professional that is relied upon by the Claim Manager to assist with review of complex behavioral health case. This assistance may include partnering with a multidisciplinary team of other Behavioral Health Specialists, Nurses, Physicians, and/or Vocational Counselors. This may also include building a rapport and gathering pertinent information from a Customer and/or treating Providers.

      Primary Responsibilities :

      • Discussions of disability claims with Claim Managers
      • Provide education and background to Claim Managers related to diagnosis and treatment
      • Calls and/or written communication to customers and health care providers
      • Frequent communication throughout the day with internal business partners via telephone, email, and/or instant messaging
      • Supporting Group Benefit Solutions initiatives for quality improvement, change, growth, and excellence in business practices
      • Integrating the review of medical records supplied by the provider with the customer perspective
      • Facilitating relations with and between Claim Managers, business partners, and customers to develop claim strategies and facilitate a safe return to work
      • Collaborating with health care providers and disability customers to promote accountability for the appropriateness of the treatment plan and length of disability

      Qualifications :

      • Licensed Registered Nurse, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Social Worker (current and unencumbered)
      • Provides licensure in state of residency and state of employment
      • License must be current and without standing or pending censure by any state
      • A minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience with strong clinical background in Psychiatric care
      • Strong skills in medical assessment/medical record review
      • CCM or Case Management experience preferred

      Training & Development:

      Behavioral Health Specialist’s will undergo a comprehensive paid training program. Coaching and feedback is provided to help you gain the necessary skills to be successful.

      Shift Information:

      This is a full-time work from home position Monday through Friday. Candidates must be available to work 8 hour shifts from 8am-430pm or 830am-5pm.

      Salary:

      Competitive full-time base salary, plus target bonus if eligible based on performance.

      Salary range: $65,000-$95,000

      Overtime eligible: Exempt
