JOB SUMMARY
The psychiatric therapist is under the direct supervision of the Social Services Manager and is responsible to the Director of Behavioral Health. Therapists are responsible for treatment planning, coordination, and service delivery in conjunction with a multidisciplinary treatment team. Services include but are not limited to psychosocial assessment, group/individual/family therapy, and discharge planning/coordination.
1. Observe professional ethics in maintaining information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical, or employment status of patients of Tennova HealthCare - Cleveland and their families.
2. Must follow and enforce accepted safety practices for patients and the hospital.
3. Participate in Performance Improvement activities.
4. Utilize the Multiple Disciplinary Treatment Team in the delivery of age-specific patient care.
5. Communicate in an acceptable, easily understood manner.Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, related field, or equivalent from an accredited college or LPC or LADAC. License preferred. Certification in evidence based approaches a plus. Bachelor’s degree with commensurate mental health or chemical dependency work experience could be considered in some instances.
Experience: Desirable characteristics include at least one year of postgraduate mental health work experience or two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment.
Licenses/Certificates: BLS required within one week of hire. SAMA within 90 days of hireFull-Time Benefits
