Fixed Term (2 years) – 36 hours per week

Job Purpose
Are you passionate about making positive impact on children? Do you have
excellent communication and problem solving? We are looking for two people to
support behaviour, as new roles on 2 years fixed term contract.
It is essential that you have a good understanding of child protection. Good
understanding of current legislation, statutory guidance.
Essential experience
· Experience of working with children and young people in a range of settings
· including managing challenging behaviour.
· Experience of working within the education sector.
· Experience of implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies.
· Experience of undertaking direct work with children or young people in either
· a Primary or Secondary setting and working with families.
· Experience of working with children and young people who display behaviours
· of concern.
· You must have experience of safeguarding practice and procedures.
· Experience of improving systems and procedures; and contributing to the
· development of policies and protocols.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
· Excellent engagement skills with children and young people.
· Experience of delivering high quality targeted services and interventions to children,
· young people, and communities.
· Experience of producing high quality resources, including marketing materials
· Ability to develop and maintain relationships with children and young people who
· may have complex needs.
· Essential to have good understanding of current legislation, statutory guidance and
· local polices in relation to behaviour and Inclusion.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to manage conflicting priority.
· Ability to represent the Authority and to form and maintain appropriate professional
· relationships and boundaries with children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
