  Benefits Analyst

  Basic Purpose: The Benefits Analyst is responsible for managing employee insurance, pension, savings, and other benefit programs while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, including ERISA. This role involves coordination with brokers, carriers, TPAs, and internal stakeholders to administer and enhance benefits offerings.
  
  Key Responsibilities:
  • Administers employee benefit programs (health, wellness, leave, retirement, savings).
  • Coordinates benefit initiatives including open enrollment and plan changes.
  • Collaborates with brokers, vendors, and TPAs to manage plans and resolve issues.
  • Ensures compliance with ERISA, company policies, and legal requirements.
  • Supports annual audits and manages compliance documentation.
  • Oversees claim refunds (Stop Loss, COB, duplicate payments) and proper account allocation.
  • Reviews benefits eligibility and deductions; reconciles data across HRIS, payroll, and vendor systems.
  • Conducts data analysis and resolves discrepancies in benefits records.
  • Educates employees on benefit programs and policies.
  • Responds to benefit inquiries from active, retired, and terminated employees.
  • Supports policy development and continuous process improvement.
  
  Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience
    OR
    7+ years of related experience without a degree.
  Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefits and HR practices.
  • Strong understanding of ERISA and regulatory compliance.
  • High attention to confidentiality, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in managing vendors and HRIS/payroll interfaces.
