- Serve as an additional point of contact and assist with benefits administration and escalate when appropriate.
- Respond to 401(k) employee inquiries.
- Support the annual 401(k)/ESOP audit process and respond to auditors data requests.
- Coordinate Open Enrollment activities including new vendor set ups, education sessions and benefits fairs.
- Maintain leave of absences including periodic audits; State regulations including FMLA; vendor management.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to employee benefits, including the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and ERISA.
- Work with finance department where relevant to support invoice payment compliance.
- Maintain HRIS through updates and entering data.
- Compile analytical data for benchmarking purposes.
- Coordinate Wellness events and larger group/vendor onsite meetings.
- Compile and prepare reports and spreadsheets.
- Assist in payroll administration including answering payroll questions, facilitating resolutions to any payroll errors.
- Assist in conducting new hire orientation.
- Assist in ensuring current P&C SharePoint files and databases are up to date and organized.
- Assist in approving and maintaining employee benefits, life events, employment status for ACA, and similar records.
- Assist in performing file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained.
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in HR or related, or equivalent experience, required.
- Minimum requirement of up to 5 years related experience preferably in Benefits Administration.
- Proficiency in Section 125, DOL, ERISA regulations.
- Familiarity with legislation such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disability Act (ADA) and Fair Labor Standards (FLSA) and any other applicable state-specific laws
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word (required), Excel (required) and PowerPoint (a plus).
- Proficiency in P&C applications such as HRIS, a plus.

Note: This role has a hybrid work schedule in Pearl River, NY.
This position supports the People & Culture - Total Rewards department by performing various P&C functions including Benefits, Compensation, HRIS as well as other ad hoc P&C activities.

The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000. The successful candidate’s salary will depend on the actual ranges of current employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, geography, as well as the candidate’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
