      Job Summary:

      - The Benefits and Eligibility Specialist position is responsible for reviewing applications for public assistance programs and determining eligibility.
      - Conduct interactive interviews and gather facts to verify application information.
      - Communicate effectively with applicants and recipients to address concerns and provide assistance.
      - Explain program rules and policies to claimants, representatives, and other stakeholders.
      - Work remotely within Arizona based on department's business needs and performance measures.

      Job Duties:

      - Initiate and process applications through automated systems.
      - Interact with clients to provide information and assist with application completion.
      - Monitor ongoing eligibility and take appropriate actions on changes.
      - Attend staff meetings, trainings, and orientations.
      - Respond to client questions and complaints.

      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

      - Knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, and policies governing eligibility for public assistance programs.
      - Understanding of effective customer service principles and practices.
      - Proficiency in using computers and software programs for research and documentation.
      - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
      - Excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

      Selective Preferences:

      - High school diploma or GED.
      - One year of experience performing eligibility reviews or customer service experience.
