      Description

      StarCare Specialty Health System (StarCare) is seeking a full time Benefits Eligibility Specialist to join its outstanding Revenue Cycle Management department.

      Description : Performs highly complex case management work. Work involves reviewing and tracking case management activities ; and assisting in developing program goals , objectives , and procedures . May supervise the work of others. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

      Responsibilities:

      • Conducts and/or coordinates the development and implementation of clients ' services .
      • Conducts and/or coordinates transition planning to ensure continuity of care and management of risk factors .
      • Review s clients referred to benefits and tracks progress through the benefit's intake and screening process .
      • Partic i pates in the quality assurance and utilization review processes for benefits to ensure quality services.
      • Helps ident i fy problem areas, service gaps, and areas that are barriers to services for clients .
      • Develops and conducts presentations and orientations.
      • Assists i n the development of policies and procedures .
      • Assists with intra-agency or interagency service coordination and referral problems.
      • May supervise the work of others.
      • Performs related work as assigned .

      Schedule: This is a full-time/non-exempt position scheduled Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with flexibility to meet the needs of the department.

      Qualifications


      Qualifications:

      • 0 - 4+ years of experience in case management or social services work .
      • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in social work or a human service-related field is generally preferred .
      • Experience and education may be substituted for one another .

      Skills & Abilities:

      • Knowledge of community resources ; of case management princip l es, objectives, standards, and methods; and of program policies and procedures.
      • Skill in developing, implementing, and mon i toring service and treatment plans.
      • Ability to assess clients' needs, to coordinate clients' services, to monitor program effectiveness, to communicate effectively, and to supervise the work of others.
      • Advanced knowledge of office related procedures, equipment uses and proficient organizational skills .

      Additional Requirements:

      • Must pass a pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check.
      • Must have a Texas driver's license and be insurable under the Agency's insurance.
