      Job Summary

      Responsible for managing and administering employee benefit plans including enrollments, changes and terminations according to plan provisions. Maintains employee benefit records and processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping, proper benefit coverage, and deduction coding.

      Minimum Qualifications

      Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
      Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Years in Human Resources employee benefits administration experience.
      Substitutable Education & Experience: None.
      Required Certifications/Licensure: None.
      Required Training: Knowledge and experience with HRIS systems and work flow processes; Knowledge of large comprehensive medical, dental, STD, LTD, FML, Flex Spending accounts and life insurance plans as well as retirement and 401k plans; Proficiency with Microsoft.

      Essential Functions

      • Day to day administration of employee benefits requests, issues, and resolutions including assisting employees with self-service portal
      • Counsel employees on plan provisions and administrative procedures so that individuals can make informed benefit related decisions including all levels of employees
      • Serves as a resource to payroll, employees, recruiters, and HR Business Partners to ensure their understanding of benefits, HR policies, and regulations
      • Facilitates the FML, STD and LTD process for managers, employees and FML vendor
      • Serves as a point of contact to ensure employee understanding of benefit programs by regularly generating communication and counseling employees/dependents as situations arise.
      • Provide resolutions to employee complaints related to health and welfare plans; referring difficult or very complex complaints to management as needed.
      • Acts as a liaison with various insurance carriers and fosters effective relationships with client representatives.

      Duties & Responsibilities

      • Perform HRIS data entry and system maintenance. Process employee transactions through timely data entry into HRIS database. Coordinate and maintain effective HRIS processes and auditing procedures on a daily basis ensuring data integrity by creating and generating reports and analyzing data. Troubleshoot system errors and help facilitate system processes in coordination with IS team and carrier representatives.
      • Process monthly billings from insurance providers. Review billings for accuracy, codes and advances for payment. Resolve discrepancies with carriers, payroll, etc.
      • Assist annual benefits open enrollment
      • Trouble shooting data issues with internal IS team and carrier representatives
      • Assist with preparation of annual compliance reports as needed.
      • Provide feedback and plan analysis in order to drive positive results for future benefit strategies.
      • Responsible for New Hire Benefit Orientation presentations and Q&A
      • Performs all other duties as assigned.
