      Beverage Director – Upscale Restaurant

      $90,000 - $100,00 + Bonus

      YOUR ROLE WITH THE COMPANY:

      The Beverage Director will lead the creation and execution of an innovative, thoughtful beverage program that reflects the company values, tells stories, and engages and excites our guests and our team.

      • Lead the creation, evolution, and daily execution of a world-class beverage program spanning wine, cocktails, beer, coffee, and zero-proof offerings, in collaboration with the culinary team to create thoughtful pairings and guest experiences
      • Serve as the face of the beverage program, guiding guests, mentoring team members, and delivering outstanding service while fostering a culture of inclusion, excellence, and continuous improvement
      • Build strong relationships with producers, importers, and distributors to source wines and spirits aligned with company values, and support special events including wine dinners, tastings, and private dining
      • Develop and implement systems for cost control, inventory, compliance, and purchasing while analyzing sales and adjusting menus based on seasonality and trends
      • Lead all aspects of staff beverage education, including training materials, certifications, and regular tastings; contribute to the recruitment, training, and professional growth of the beverage and service team


      BACKGROUND PROFILE :

      • 2+ years of experience as a Beverage Director, Sommelier, or similar role in a high-performing ($3M+) upscale or fine dining restaurant
      • Certification through CMS, WSET, or similar strongly preferred
      • Experience in Michelin-starred or other exceptional restaurant environments strongly preferred
      • Experience launching new restaurant opening strongly preferred
      • Exceptional knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic offerings, with particular interest in small producers and wines of place
      • Proven ability to lead, inspire, train, and develop a team
      • Proficiency in POS, inventory, and reservation systems
      • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
      • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both FOH and Kitchen teams
