We are recruiting for a BI & Analytics Manager to join our IT department at P&O Ferries.

A household name for over 180 years, P&O Ferries have a rich heritage in ferry services. Our ships sail across the English Channel, North Sea & Irish Sea and we employ almost 2000 people.

P&O Ferries is currently undergoing an exciting business transformation, where data is pivotal, and we are looking for a BI & Analytics Manager to join us on this journey.

If you are passionate about building solutions from scratch, working collaboratively and with data as well as having a track record of using analytics to create and develop new intelligence then this could be the role for you!

You will be our go to person involved in modelling/analysing data, liaising with a range of stakeholders across the business and will assist P&O Ferries to ensure that we can create and foster the adoption of more data led decisions across our business. You will thrive on translating business objectives into data-led queries, you will have demonstrable experience in data visualisation and enjoy turning numbers and data into insights for audiences all types.

The role:

• Responsible for business intelligence set up, supporting a defined KPI structure
• Implementation of data structures that allows for reporting across the organisation
• Communicate complex quantitative analysis and data models in a clear and precise way
• Understanding the business needs and translating those into BI reports illustrating and supporting business performance

The person:

• Experience in Power BI
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience in SQL (desirable not essential)
• Experience from working with the ETL (extract, transform, learn) process
• Knowledge/understanding of ADF (desirable not essential)
• Understand that strong data quality is the foundation of all benefits from apply data
• Engage in a steep learning curve and eager to learn and develop
