      BI Data Analyst – Salary Starting From £27,000.
      Do you have a talent for interpreting and manipulating data? Perhaps you are interested in gaining experience the Insurance industry?

      A fantastic opportunity has arisen within our Commercial Business Intelligence Team for a BI Data Analyst! Forming part of the Exposure Management, Pricing & Insight department, the team provides a shared Business Information service offering reporting, insight, and analysis.


      A bit about the job:

      We are seeking a highly numerate individual with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. As a team, we are particularly excited to be supporting the development of various projects using an increasingly diverse variety of new technologies.

      In Commercial BI we are continually reviewing processes to identify areas for improvement and innovation. Data Analysts help support the Commercial Business by delivery accurate regular reporting, working with stakeholders to define data requirements and responding to ad-hoc requests. The team transform data to provide meaningful insight to the business to help in decision making.


      Aviva operates a “smart working” policy meaning that we spend approximately half of our time working in an office, and this role is based in Perth.


      Skills and experience we’re looking for:

      • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, providing meaningful insight.

      • Knowledge of one or more coding languages and tools such as SQL, Python, R.

      • Higher education or relevant work experience in Mathematics, Data Analytics or another STEM subject is a desirable.

      • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing to individuals of all levels.

      • Experience in insurance or the financial industry is an asset.

      • Starting Salary £27,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)

      • Bonus opportunity - 8% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
