Until Filled - Perform regular classroom visits providing feedback, coaching and modeling to all classroom staff in order to sustain high quality classroom environments, as well as best practices in language acquisition
- Coach staff on use of performance based assessments including data collection, interpretation and use in driving learning experiences
- Administer NJ DOE recommended program evaluation tools to maintain best practices in early childhood and curriculum fidelity
- Plan, coordinate, and provide professional development for all early childhood staff
- Adhere to practices presented in the NJ DOE Preschool Implementation Guidelines
- Communicate with staff and families to build strong school/ home connections to support student growth
- Facilitate student transitions across the early childhood continuum
- Participate in the Preschool Intervention and Referral Team (PIRT)
- Bilingual, English/Spanish preferred
- Certification in specific content areas
- Leadership experience within their field of expertise
- Record of positive classroom experiences
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of grade-level standards
- Well versed in developmentally appropriate practices and language acquisition
- Ability to disaggregate, interpret, and analyze assessment data

The role is to maintain high quality Early Childhood programming for English Language Learners. This includes: supporting classroom staff in the implementation of best practices for early childhood programming with a focus on language acquisition, providing classroom visitations, modeling and using non evaluative, reflective cycles to support learning. The coach will also utilize classroom observation tools to plan for, support and sustain relevant and meaningful professional development, as well as ensure that curriculum is implemented with fidelity, student data is used to shape learning outcomes, and supportive practices are implemented to develop student achievement in language and literacy.
Reports to: Assistant Superintendent, Principals and Supervisors
