- Provide family services and family engagement activities under the guidance of the QCCN Director;
- Support the enrollment process of families including recruitment, registration, intake, family assessment, and
- ongoing support to families;
- Respond in a timely and efficient manner to parent/family inquiries as well as others critical to enhancing
- enrollment acquisition outcomes;
- Coordinate the effective collection and maintenance of all required records for enrollment into the EarlyLearn or
- 3K Programs;
- Create and utilize tracking reports, spreadsheets, surveys and other electronic or hard copy records to help ensure compliance with NYC Department of Education (DOE) and Department of Health (DOH) regulatory guidelines;
- Work with families and affiliated providers to create individualized family plans in the provision of family and social support services;
- Design and coordinate monthly parent engagement activities in collaboration with the educational staff;
- Provide ongoing services to families needing additional support services: special education, mental health services, housing support, etc.;
- Support families of children with special needs by attending case conferences and follow-up meetings;
- Connect parents/caregivers to appropriate resources and make necessary referrals to community partners;
- Develop relationships with community partners who provide mental health, special needs, and other support services for all affiliated providers and families;
- Coordinate family engagement workshops, special events, and other activities with the Network team to encourage and maintain family participation in gatherings, celebrations, and family engagement activities;
- Collaboratively create and update a Community Partner Resource Guide for providers and families;
- Administer family surveys and collect feedback on program quality and summarize information obtained from families in reports to network leadership;
- Guide with regards to holistic support of families impacted by mental or behavioral health issues;
- Ensure effective updating of family information in the Network database;
- Document all family engagement conversations and sessions promptly and align with the Early Childhood
- Framework for Quality (EFQ);
- Supporting families' connection to other QCH programming and activities, where and when pertinent;
- Other duties as requested by Network Leadership
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field (Completed or In Progress);
- Ability to read, write and speak fluently in Spanish;
- Willingness to travel within the QCCN catchment area;
- Effective time management skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task;
- Appreciation for the unique needs of all providers and families;
- Experience working with families with young children (required);
- Experience working in family childcare and/or with infants and toddlers (preferred);
- Computer Literate: Microsoft Office Suites, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom and Google Docs;

Status : Full-Time
Compensation : $22.00/hour
Schedule: Hybrid, 35 hours per week, M-F; flexibility required due to some evenings and weekend events.

The Family Worker serves within the QCH-Childcare Network enrolling and supporting families within the NYC DOE EarlyLearn and 3K Programs. The role of the Family Worker is to conduct outreach to the early childhood parent community, facilitate the enrollment process, advocate for families, and coordinate parent engagement throughout the family’s childcare experience in our network.
Additionally, this role requires helping enrolled families access support, guidance, and information and build skills to enable them to address specific challenges. The Family Worker helps navigate key systems that impact child or family life with regard to education, healthcare, housing, benefits, tax, workplace, legal, and immigration.
